Plastic-Free Greater Sudbury
Plastic-Free Greater Sudbury (PFGS) is a community campaign that is dedicated to challenging the status quo of single-use plastic consumption within Greater Sudbury; through collaborative, sustainable, and socially inclusive efforts.
With goals related to initiating conversations about single-use plastics at the municipal, distribution, and consumer level, PFGS works to increase awareness, provide education, and improve community collaboration to take action on this rising issue.
PFGS initiated June 2018 due to the growing concern surrounding single-use plastics at the community level. This campaign was designed to collaborate with local community members, business owners, schools, and organizations to educate and support simple actions that will reduce single-use plastics.
