On April 18th, 2023, the Government of Canada released a Regulatory Framework Paper and a Technical Paper.

The papers released provide a framework for recycled content and labelling rules for plastics and technical information about the Federal Plastics Registry, which can be accessed on the Canadian Environmental Protection Act Registry.

The publication of the papers is followed by a public comment period ending May 18, 2023.
